How much does garage door repair actually cost in Toronto and the GTA?

Most single-issue repairs fall between $185 and $485 including parts, labour, and tax. Torsion spring replacement is typically $225-$425 for a single, $325-$575 for a pair. Cable replacement is $185-$345. Opener repairs run $150-$350. New door installations range from $1,650 (basic single) to $4,800 (premium insulated double). You'll get a written quote on-site before we touch anything — what's on the quote is what you pay.

Do you charge a call-out fee or diagnostic fee?

No call-out fee if you go ahead with the repair. If you call us out for a non-emergency diagnostic and choose not to proceed, the diagnostic fee is $89 — applied as credit against any service you book within 30 days.

Do you charge extra for evenings, weekends, or holidays?

No. Our pricing is the same at 9 AM Tuesday as it is at 11 PM Sunday. Garage door emergencies don't care about your calendar, and neither does our pricing.

How fast can you actually be at my house?

Typical response time across the GTA is 60-90 minutes during the day, 90-120 minutes for late-night emergencies. We text when we're 15 minutes out so you don't sit by the window. For non-emergency calls, you can book a specific 2-hour arrival window.

Is my broken door actually an emergency or can it wait?

Call us right away if: (1) the door is stuck open and you can't secure your home, (2) a spring snapped and you can't lift the door, (3) the door is hanging crooked or one cable broke. These are safety issues. Cosmetic damage, weather seals, or slightly noisy operation can usually wait until business hours and save you a service trip.

Will my repair be done in one visit?

About 90% of standard repairs are completed on the first visit. Our trucks stock the most common parts for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Garaga, and Richards-Wilcox. The 10% that need a second visit are usually custom door panels or older European openers — we'll tell you upfront if that's the case.
